Kate, and her goodboy, Walter

For me, photography is more than capturing images – it’s a practice of presence. An invitation not only to see beauty, but to feel it.

I consider my work a conversation with nature’s energy, where each photograph is a portal to the resonance of a moment that moved me deeply.

From my experience, nature isn’t just beautiful – it’s sentient, wise, and energetically alive. There’s a hum to it. A resonance that moves through my body when something in the landscape calls to me.

And my craft is following that subtle pull.

It’s standing on a post-storm beach in winter, icy wind making my eyes water and freezing my fingers. But I sense the blanket of clouds may open just in time for the setting sun to break through. And when it does, the world is illuminated in the magical last light of day. That wall of gray goes technicolor and for a fleeting moment, I’m immersed in one of nature’s most awestriking displays.

My process is less about documenting nature and more about translating its presence. It’s sharing a keepsake of peace, curiosity, and wonder – something others can feel. My hope is that when you view my work you’re transported – not just to a place, but to the feeling of being in deep connection with the natural world.
